The No Number- Arte de Acción festival was conceived as a meeting of practical and theoretical reflection on the situation of action art in the Spanish State - with the presence of England as a guest country - and also as an agglutinator of all the official proposals and alternative nature around this practice.
They were carried out over the course of two weeks, and the thematic axes that structured the action were: phonetic, symbolic, critical, social, paratheatrical and poetic-objectual action, as well as interaction. Other sections were also contemplated, such as action and cooking, one intended for proposals by younger artists, with the name Opening Action. The publication that accompanied the project made it possible to trace a large part of the actions carried out throughout this period 1985 and 1995; as an extensive instruction book, it allowed any reader to redo to a large extent the practice of those years.
